Seattle City Light has several job openings to support their commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. These positions are in our energy management classification series and range from entry level to senior level roles:

Energy Management Analyst, Assistant– This class represents the entry level in the Energy Management Analyst series which, under continuing supervision, performs energy audits and prepares energy analysis reports of commer-cial/industrial facilities. This class is distinguished from the Energy Management Analyst by the scope of duties and the complexity of the facilities audited. Audits of more complex facilities may be conducted by employees in this class with assistance of higher level personnel.In addition, Energy Management Analysts are expected to perform the full range of energy management activities.

Energy Management Analyst – Seattle City Light’s Customer Energy Solutions division is currently looking for an Energy Management Analyst to provides energy efficiency funding and consulting services to major commercial and industrial customers.  This job combines project management and engineering to support the aggressive ongoing energy conservation funding programs Seattle City Light offers large commercial and industrial customers.  The successful applicant will find themselves thinking on their feet while engaged in development and pre-payment evaluation of projects involving cutting edge technologies and designs.  The Energy Management Analyst brings together measurements, computations, specifications, and inspections to enhance the success of a utility resource that is both the most cost-effective and the most environmentally friendly way to satisfy the electrical needs of a growing city.

Senior Energy Management Analyst, Project Development – The Customer Energy Solutions (CES) division of Seattle City Light is the longest continuously operating municipal energy conservation initiative in the country, beginning in 1977 when the City established the use of energy conservation as its highest-priority, most cost effective, and most environmentally-friendly energy resource.  Since then, City Light has become recognized as a national leader in the field of conservation and environmental stewardship, delivering energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability programs and services to a wide range of customers throughout the City and surrounding communities.

Customer Energy Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Energy Management Analyst (Sr EMA) in its Project Design and Implementation section.  This unit facilitates the delivery of energy efficiency and sustainable energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers in support of Customer Energy Solution’s program goals.

The Senior EMA will identify, plan, develop and implement energy solution projects for commercial and industrial customers within the service territory of Seattle City Light. Projects include both new construction and retrofit of existing facilities.  As a Sr. EMA, this positon is expected bring significant knowledge and experience with energy solution technologies enabling them to design and implement the largest and most complex projects.
