Here in the Pacific Northwest, we pride ourselves on being a national leader in energy efficiency while also having some of the cleanest and most affordable electricity in the nation. But despite our leadership in these areas, we also know that the built environment is a large contributor to our region’s carbon emissions. Recently, there has been a push for Washington State to lead the nation in transitioning to the clean energy economy of the future by developing a path to 100% clean energy. As this movement gains momentum, we as an industry need to understand the role of energy efficiency in achieving this vision. Join NEEC and hear from Vlad Gutman-Britten, the Climate Solutions Washington State Policy Director, as he discusses what it takes to achieve 100% clean energy and specifically how energy efficiency can help our state achieve this goal.
