Cadmus Announces New Roles for Senior Executives Sham and Khawaja

June 16, 2015 By Cadmus Group

WALTHAM, Mass., June 10, 2015—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that it has created new positions for two of the firm’s senior executives, a move that will give Cadmus clients expanded access to top industry experts, boost development of cutting-edge thought leadership, and improve mentoring opportunities for the firm’s rising stars.

Dr. M. Sami Khawaja has been appointed Cadmus’ Chief Economist, and Dr. Chi Ho Sham has been appointed its Chief Scientist. Both executives previously served as senior vice presidents.

The Chief Economist and Chief Scientist positions will allow for greater emphasis on exploring and acting on innovative, integrated insights into market trends and emerging research across the firm’s service areas. The new positions emphasize Cadmus’ focus on grounding its client support with deep, interdisciplinary subject matter expertise and nurturing new talent.

“These new positions reinforce Cadmus’ commitment to best-in-class technical delivery informed by innovative, solution-oriented research—an approach that has been immensely successful in helping our clients achieve their goals and our staff develop professionally,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “Sami and Chi Ho are highly accomplished and respected practitioners within their respective disciplines, they are well known within our industries for their technical excellence, they are widely published, and they are excellent teachers and mentors.”

Sham and Khawaja are widely recognized as leading contributors to their respective fields. Sham, who previously led Cadmus’ environmental science and policy division, taught at Boston University for 10 years before joining Cadmus in 1991 and currently serves as an adjunct professor at Clark University.

Khawaja was the founder of energy-efficiency evaluation firm Quantec. Following its 2008 merger with Cadmus, he served as director of Cadmus’ energy services division for nearly seven years. He holds a position as adjunct professor of economics at Portland State University and was also a founder of the university’s graduate certificate program in applied energy economics and policy.
