EPA Recognizes Mass Save® as a 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year

June 16, 2015 By Cadmus Group

Waltham, Mass., June 2, 2015—The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Cadmus) announced today that client program Mass Save has been awarded the 2015 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award in Energy Efficiency Program Delivery for its residential lighting and consumer products initiative. Mass Save and other Partners of the Year were recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on April 20.

Mass Save is a statewide initiative sponsored by Massachusetts’ gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers to help Massachusetts residents and businesses manage energy use and related costs through energy efficiency. The Sponsors of Mass Save’s lighting and consumer products initiative include Cape Light Compact, Eversource Energy, National Grid, and Unitil.

The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award, one of EPA’s highest honors, highlights outstanding commitments to the creation and promotion of environmentally responsible initiatives, focused on energy efficiency. The Program Delivery category specifically recognizes states, utilities, and organizations that create and support innovative energy-efficiency programs that provide benefits to their communities and customers.

Cadmus, along with its partners Match Drive and wedü, is proud to be a part of the award-winning team, which is setting the pace for innovative energy-efficiency programs. Cadmus has supported Mass Save’s residential lighting and consumer products initiative since 2004.

Mass Save’s efficiency initiatives provide the education, accessibility, and support needed to help customers focus on reducing energy use and its harmful environmental impact, and, as a result, saving money on their energy bills. Through its use of innovative marketing and accessible rebates and incentives on ENERGY STAR-certified lighting and consumer products, Mass Save assisted the Commonwealth in achieving energy savings of over 144,000,000 kilowatt hours (kWhs) in 2014.

“We are honored to be recognized by EPA with the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for our commitment to making Massachusetts a leader in energy efficiency across the nation,” stated Maggie Downey of Cape Light Compact. “The award is a testament to the success of our partnership in providing a wide range of services, incentives, trainings, and information on energy usage and related costs. Cadmus’ support has been invaluable in helping Mass Save reach, educate, and engage a wide audience of customers who are passionate about saving energy with residential lighting and consumer products.”

In 2014, the Mass Save lighting and consumer products Sponsors also received the Association of Energy Services Professionals’ (AESP’s) Outstanding Achievement in Social Media award—the first award of its kind given by AESP.

Cadmus’ unique approach to efficiency marketing goes beyond standard methodologies by building upon a deep understanding of both marketing and evaluation.
