Q: What is an ARRA grant?

A: The grant is supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 signed by President Obama in response to the economic crisis. Our grant is allocated through the Department of Labor with Workforce Development Council Seattle-King County as the fiscal agent. Q: What is your grant timeline?

A: January 2010 – January 2012

Q: Who does this grant serve?
A: Our targeted training populations include "on the bench" apprentice and journey-level workers and the newly unemployed, incumbent workers, veterans, youth, and people with employment barriers such as disabilities.

Q: What types of jobs will the training programs support?

A: We anticipate students graduating from our programs can find positions such as Energy Auditors, Construction and Building Inspectors, Building Commissioners, Construction Managers, Weatherization Installers and Technicians, Building and Facilities Managers, Energy Analysts/Managers, Building Maintenance Technicians/Engineers

Q: How do I participate in a training program?

A: We have contracted with various Community Colleges to provide training programs for our grant. Please contact the training providers directly. A list of our training providers can be found here.
