Ash Awad
McKinstry Co.
NEEC President
Ash Awad grew up on in the East Coast,
however was born in the Middle East. He spent over
two decades in Massachusetts, and graduated from the University
of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Mechanical Engineering
degree. He eventually moved out west to continue
his education at the University of Washington, where he
received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
Ash's wife of nine years, Souzy Awad, keeps him in line
and on track outside of the work environment. When
she is too busy, his two daughters, Noor (age 8) and Sabreena
(age 3), gladly step in to make sure he has plenty to keep
him occupied. The girls keeping Ash occupied with their
activities is great, yet he does enjoy running (occasionally),
playing basketball, cooking, and reading.
Ash Awad currently holds the position of Vice President
and is involved with the Energy and Facility Services Divisions
for McKinstry Co. McKinstry has been a pillar of
the Seattle business community for over four decades through
strong financial management practices and an intimate knowledge
of how to best serve the needs of their customers. Being
a corporate officer for McKinstry, it is the responsibility
of Ash to ensure company profitability, provide vision
for current and future initiatives, and provide leadership
to a staff that has grown from 2 to over 50 energy professionals
in that last 4 years. Ash is also the President of the
Board for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC). |
