BPA Announces Karen Meadows as Acting Vice President for Energy Efficiency

February 7, 2012

This week, BPA has selected Karen Meadows as Acting Vice President for Energy Efficiency. Karen comes to this position with a wealth of knowledge and experience in several leadership roles with both BPA's energy efficiency programs and the energy efficiency community as a whole. For those of you who don't know her, she has been Manager of WorkPlace Services (i.e. Facilities) for the past year, prior to that she was Director of Energy Services in BPA's Energy Efficiency organization.

Her experience, perspective and leadership will be critical given the array of near-term challenges we face in the energy efficiency arena - achieving very aggressive 6th Power Plan targets while at the same time transitioning to the new post-2011 delivery model for our energy efficiency programs, demonstrating to our constituents the “value-added” by BPA's EE programs, positioning ourselves for the midpoint check-in on the 6th Power Plan EE targets, the pre-FY14 review of the post-2011 EE Implementation approach, and the development of the 7th Power Plan. She will start on February 20th.
