Light Doctor

Light Doctor, a privately held firm located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington has been in business for over 30 years. We are in the commercial lighting business and offer four distinct services:

• Lighting Service: We have a team of “Light Doctors” who provide lighting service for over 1000 locations in the Pacific Northwest. We maintain interior and exterior lighting for any commercial facility. Often our clients are multi-location clients and we will put their properties on a route schedule for monthly or quarterly service. Our “Light Doctors” will also repair signs. “Light Doctors” operate with our own fleet of bucket trucks and ladder vans.

• Lighting Retrofits: Light Doctor operates several teams of electricians who perform lighting retrofits on all types of buildings. This includes schools, commercial buildings, local and Federal Government agencies and the Military. In a retrofit, we will install new, state of the art lighting, which puts out more light, but uses less than half the power. These jobs qualify for utility company rebates that can be as much as 70% of the project costs. Energy savings can exceed 50% and, with the rebates available from utility companies, the ROI ranges from 50% on up. Federal tax credits are also available and can further enhance the attractiveness of lighting retrofits.

• Recycling: We are a licensed recycler and are equipped to properly recycle spent lighting products. We offer recycling services for companies who do their own maintenance.

• Lighting Distribution: We have a sister company, Evergreen Lamp, LLC that is a full service lighting distributor. Through this company we are able to buy direct from manufacturers and can provide our clients with any kind of lighting products they may need.

Light Doctor employs 45 people, of which 3L3 have electrical licenses. We are an approved vendor for all the utilities of the Pacific Northwest and we are the largest provider of lighting retrofit services to the Bonneville Power Administration.
